CrSNDT re-accredited for another five-year period

In July 2014, Croatian Accreditation Agency (HAA) carried out a re-accreditation procedure at the Certification Centre of Croatian Society of Non-Destructive Testing LLC according to the HRN EN ISO/IEC 17024:2003.

Since the results showed that all necessary requirements have been fulfilled, CrSNDT has successfully been re-accredited for certification of NDT persons for another five-year period (Accreditation Certificate No. 5060).

Training and certification – level I and II

CrSNDT is the institution accredited by Croatian Accreditation Agency in the Republic of Croatia for certification of NDT personnel. It is a signatory to the Multilateral Agreement (MRA) with the International Committee for Non-Destructive Testing (ICNDT) and European Federation for Non-Destructive Testing (EFNDT) as the only national institution accredited for certification of NDT personnel, whose certificates are acknowledged worldwide. It is included in the European Commission NANDO database for Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

The ICNDT Journal

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Croatian and the American Society found their place in the ICNDT Journal. The news was published in issue 13, in April of 2014.

” The American Society for Nondestructive testing has signed an Agreement for Professional Cooperation with The Croatian Society of Non-destructive Testing (CrSNDT). The agreement establishes a cooperative relationship in their respective areas of interest devoted to the promotion of the art, science and technology of non-destructive testing.

Aspects of the professional relationship include welcomed mutual attendance at various social events, supplying periodic journals without cost, offering member rates for other publications and allowing concurrent membership in both societies with the privilege of identification.”

Multilateral Agreement (MRA) – Certification Centre and ICNDT

Croatian Society of Non-Destructive Testing (CrSNDT) signed Multilateral Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the International Committee for Non-Destructive Testing (ICNDT) on 10 October 2013. MRA confirms the recognition of a certification based upon compliance with ISO 9712 issued by Certification Centers of the national associations of signatory countries.

MRA was signed during the “NDT week in Zagreb”, in the framework of which, along with MATEST 2013 and CERTIFICATION 2013, the signing was organized by ICNDT. The signing ceremony was conducted and monitored by Dr. Mike Farley (ICNDT Chairman), Mr Patrick Fallouey (CEN) and Mr Hajime Hatano ( ISO / TC 135).

On the list of signatory EU countries are the Certification Centres of the national NDT associations from the following countries:

Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Accreditation of CrSNDT – Certification Centre

Croatian Accreditation Agency (CAA) carried out in May 2013 a regular supervision of Croatian Society of Non-Destructive Testing Certification Center according to HRN EN ISO/IEC 17024:2003.

Based on the results of the supervision, CrSNDT Certification Centre has retained the right to carry out the certification of NDT personnel in the field and scope prescribed by the Accreditation Certificate No.5060.

NANDO – European Commission

Croatian Society of Non-Destructive Testing was registered in European Commission NANDO database on 27 July 2013 as a conformity assessment body.

Since that date, CrSNDT has been registered in the database as an institution for training and certification of NDT personnel according to the PED 97/23/EC.
By joining the European Union on 1 July 2013, Croatia has become a part of the unique EU market, open for free circulation of goods. Since that date, only Croatian conformity assessment bodies will be entitled to allow the circulation of products on Croatian and European market.

Certification according to the HRN EN ISO/EC 12074 carried out at the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar for the PVTRIN project

Croatian Society of Non-Destructive Testing and Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar have signed an agreement on the “Training and certification of photovoltaic installers” of photovoltaic installers which will be delivered by the certification body accredited according to the HRN EN ISO/IEC 17024 for the PVTRIN project.

The awarding ceremony, held at the Energy Institute of Hrvoje Požar on 10 June 2013, marked an official ending of pilot certification of the small photovoltaic installers on building. PVTRIN is an EU project on which EIHP is the Croatian partner, whereas CrSNDT participated as a certification body. By adapting the European models, CrSNDT has developed a certification scheme according to the HRN EN ISO/IEC 17024.

Candidates, who had attended the courses based on the PVTRIN syllabus in April, organized by CrSNDT Training centre, took a qualification exam in both written and practical form. Finally, CrSNDT Certification centre reviewed the implemented qualification procedure, documents and results achieved by each candidate and reached a decision on their certification.
